For my final undergraduate course thesis, I developed and documented an Android mobile application for CUTCSA’s stuff such as ticket and bus inspectors and bus drivers. This application provides them with functionalities such as: maps, bus routes, bus stops, bus location and ticket control using NFC technology among others. This thesis was awarded with a 98% grade and was continued whilst working for the company for another year.
Even though the application is listed at the Play Store, it is not available for being used by employees that does not belong to the company. The Play Store publication was decided to allow an easy and centralized way for each employee to update the application.
- Login access only for the company's employees which contains a system for blocking suspicious login attempts
- Side menu to access to the different functionalities allowed for a specific user
- Access to news specifically for the company's employees
- Notifications available for a specific user as a way of communication between the company and its employees
- Allow users to check the place where a bus was registered for parking
- Search for bus stops and information about them
- Search for all the bus services for a specific day and route
- Allow specific employees to manage the trips and services defined for a specific day
- Search for routes and the buses' positions in real time
